FAQ
Brow Henna

What is Brow Henna?
Henna brows are a form of eyebrow tinting that is used to stain the skin beneath the brow hairs. The purpose of this is to cast a shadow or create an illusion of depth and fullness in the area, visually filling in any sparseness. Henna is a natural dye made from a plant known as hina or the henna tree.

How does it work?
Your brows are mapped out to give an even outline of the brow, then a custom blend of henna tint will be applied to the brow area (usually 2-3 coats), then left to develop. The henna is then removed. With henna the dye molecule (lawsone) binds to the keratin in your skin, which leaves a semi-permanent stain.

We stock a wide range of Brow Henna products that are ethically sourced, vegan and comes in 10 different shades!

How long will it take and how long does it last?
The appointment takes around 40 minutes with our trained henna brow expert. Henna brows will stain the skin for around 7 days and dye the hair up to six weeks. Henna is great for covering grey/white/coarse hairs as well.

How do I look after my Henna Brows?
-
Keep your brows dry and product free for 24 hours to create the best skin stain.
-
When cleansing your face, wipe around the henna'd brows to prolong the skin stain.
-
When swimming apply a brow oil or serum over the brows to stop the chloring and salt from prematurely lightening your brows.
-
Avoid exfoliating the brows and don't apply resurfacing serums over the brows as this will lighten them.
